Consensus Construction (2006 – )
Ongoing photography installation series
Consensus Construction (2006- ) is a formal collection of drapery movements. For the work, someone hold a piece of soft and shining cloth in one hand and kept stirring it. I captured the moments with my camera, erased the subject and settings out of the photo, and composed the traces of acts with digital process. The image, the result of a clash between the will of a subject and gravity, makes a natural form through artificial compositions of organic shapes. By printing out the form, cutting the forms out of the photo, and attaching them on the wall, I wanted the work to contain the physical traces of the passage of time.
